Sycamore Sweater Coat

It’s taken forever, but here is my final pattern for Winter 2018. Shhh… let’s all pretend it’s still 2018!

It’s quite late, the Canada Post strike before Christmas, not being able to get yarn because of it, and having a package or two go missing did not help the test knitting process. But it’s ready now!

This sweater coat, I’m not actually sure if that’s a real thing, but that’s what I’m going to call it, is perfect for warmer winter days (not the -28 degree Celsius one I took these pics in) and spring or fall weather. It’s knit in a bulky weight yarn, Briggs and Little Atlantic, and is a great antidote for dreary winter weather.

Allison Cardigan

Allison CardiganDesigned for, and named after my beautiful daughter, here is the Allison Cardigan. It’s everything she likes in a sweater – cropped, wide, boxy and in her favorite shade of yellow.

I love everything about this cardigan! It’s so versatile, dress it up or dress it down. You can wear it with a dress or with jeans. It’s also made out of one of my favourite yarns, Briggs & Little Atlantic, a bulky yarn which knits up quickly. I’ve used the Gold colourway, but they have an amazing selection to choose from.
