Sycamore Sweater Coat

It’s taken forever, but here is my final pattern for Winter 2018. Shhh… let’s all pretend it’s still 2018!

It’s quite late, the Canada Post strike before Christmas, not being able to get yarn because of it, and having a package or two go missing did not help the test knitting process. But it’s ready now!

This sweater coat, I’m not actually sure if that’s a real thing, but that’s what I’m going to call it, is perfect for warmer winter days (not the -28 degree Celsius one I took these pics in) and spring or fall weather. It’s knit in a bulky weight yarn, Briggs and Little Atlantic, and is a great antidote for dreary winter weather.

Too Cold To Get Anything Done!

Fairfax Cardigan Pattern by Paper Birch Knits

Here’s a sneak peek at my new pattern release, the Fairfax Cardigan, it will be out tomorrow! It’s a couple of weeks late because it’s been SO cold outside that I couldn’t venture outside for pics. Today was the first day in weeks that it hasn’t been colder than -25!

Love knitting. Not gonna die for it though.

At least all of my hats are being put to good use!

Lancaster Sweater

Lancaster Sweater by Paper Birch Knits

Lancaster is a super quick knit that’s everything I love about this season – cropped, boxy, oversized, and in a super bulky yarn!
It is worked in one piece from bottom up until the armholes. At this point each side is finished separately, shoulders are seamed with a three needle bind-off and sleeves are knit directly on to sweater.
