Nicolet Sweater

Nicolet Sweater by Paper Birch Knits

My first sweater for Spring is here! The Nicolet is knit in the softest silk mohair, with three quarter sleeves and raglan shaping. I’ve used Sugar Bush Yarns Drizzle, but you can sub any lace weight silk mohair yarn. But this stuff is gorgeous and it’s from a Canadian company. I highly recommend it! The yarn is held double, and the sweater is knit bottom up without seams.

Nicolet will be on sale for half price until Friday, April 12, 2019.

Sycamore Sweater Coat

It’s taken forever, but here is my final pattern for Winter 2018. Shhh… let’s all pretend it’s still 2018!

It’s quite late, the Canada Post strike before Christmas, not being able to get yarn because of it, and having a package or two go missing did not help the test knitting process. But it’s ready now!

This sweater coat, I’m not actually sure if that’s a real thing, but that’s what I’m going to call it, is perfect for warmer winter days (not the -28 degree Celsius one I took these pics in) and spring or fall weather. It’s knit in a bulky weight yarn, Briggs and Little Atlantic, and is a great antidote for dreary winter weather.
